The Office of Research Protections is responsible for the oversight of research reviews and activities, and for the promotion of ethical research practices. Its mission is to support faculty, staff, and students through the complex regulatory network, and to facilitate ethical and high-quality research. The staff accomplish this mission through a shared partnership with the research community to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and University policies and procedures.
The office serves as the administrative hub for nine research offices including the support of basic, animal and human subject research, and research integrity and conflict of interest. These offices assist researchers in the understanding and navigation of policies/regulations though education programs, training, consultations, and audits.
